Kanotix a new Live-CD
hallo
I have downloaded Konotix Bug Hunter www.kanotix.de a Live-CD based on Knoppix (Debian), which can also installed in a free Partition. Features: Kernel 2.4.25 Openoffice 1.1 KDE 3.21 Captive 1.15 ALSA 1.03 Burn it and have fun Schwedenmann

Kanotix Bug Hunter 4
Hallo
I had gathered a few information at a german linux forum. The main difference between Koppix and kanotix is, that Knoppix is based on Debian stable (Woody), while kanotix is based on debian Sid. So Kanotix has more newer packages ( Firerfox 0.8 and others) Schwedenmann

The last Knoppix 3.4, which was presented on Cebit had elements from "testing", AKA Sarge.
The Cebit edition was offered for free at the exhibition, and can be found at the donkey network, but most likely it will not go public for two good reasons: 1. It did not include many engilsh modules, just the german ones, and 2. It had a rather serious bug on the HD installer (not my experience, just quoting herr Klaus Knopper). The official Knoppix 3.4 (kernel 3.6.3 as an option) will be released in approx. one wekk from now on.
