Not exactly sure what you are asking but try the lm_sensors (on install cd's, make sure you run sensors-detect as root from the cli and follow the prompts). Use gkrellm to display temps, fan speeds etc. It is also on the install set but there is a lot of stuff you can get from the net for this app.
