ok having problems here I want to get apache up and running.....so I can have my web server and maybe setup an ftp....but in mandrake 9.0 I can't figure it out and on top of that I am on a home network using a dlink 713p wireless gateway and when I try and setup the server I fubar my ip to where i can't get on the net.....any ideas?
if your router/gateway its doing nat (your ip its 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x) then you need to redirect the web and ftp ports to your machine (ftp its hard to setup on firewalls)
Unix its Simple, but sometimes it takes a genious to understand the simplicity ---- Dennis M. Ritchie.
