      Lycoris Linux?

Ok guys, I run a winxp pro box and Though its idiot proof I really
would like to install a linux based os instead, thing is my wife
hates the usual linux gui (kde/gnome) and the fact that it still is
somewhat command line operated, I ran across lycoris linux which
looks a lot like xp, is it a good linux distro or is it a waste of time?
I like the look of it and the fact that it will require little user type
intervention (for my wife that is) and is the new R/H distro any
      good?.

      Thanks, dirty joe.

      Try VMware

VMware lets u run Linux operation systems in a Window in Windows . Works great. This way u can try out the operation systems risk free. I recommend u have a lot of ram (256+) though, since u will be running two operating systems and the ram with be split in half. U can download a 30 day trial version of vmware from their site or perhaps someone on this forum can provide FULL version.

P.S. I heard Lycoris is a pretty good operating system. I am downloading it right now, so i can't say from experience. U might want to try Lindows if u want something easier. INSTALLS in 7 minutes!!!! Windows can't beat that.
      Hope this helps.

Allways use the search button. You'll find a lot of useful things.

But you also can look at this thread:
