Is Lindows any more than Linux + Wine + a Windows style GUI and some tweaks.

If not, then use Linux, and if it is, then it's a parasitic growth on the purity of Linux .... Linux is not about paying $99 / $129 for your OS plus some apps - Linux is about buying a supported version IF you choose to do so, or getting downloads or "cheapbytes" CD distro's that you can legally install on ANY NUMBER OF PC's

there in lies the problem. Wine only gets better with aging so the new improved Wine doesn't seem to work with Lindows at all LOL.

Stay away from this OS (and that's the bottom line)

lindows is pretty slow unlike other linux versions because of emulation
ms office 97 takes eternal time to open up instead u can set up redhat along side windows and get the best oif both instead of lindows

      hmmz ...
Really sucks, yes ... I think a normal installation with Debian/RedHat and using Wine will do the job better then Lindows ..
