Unless it specifically has a video in, that socket will only be an output

Hello,,, I seem to be up the khyber when trying to copy from my VHS video cassette recorder to DVD+r. I get an error message to the effect that the Sonic 4.5 software I'm using cannot detect my PAL VCR. I have an NVidia FX5700LE graphics card with a VHS-S connection which I then plug into my VCR via a Scart adaptor. My burner is an onboard LiteOn 811S... Before I shell out on an update for my Sonic software can anyone tell me if my Graphics card is capable of playing video from my VCR .It does'nt say anything helpfull like TV in/out on the row of sockets and I don't have a user manual either. Not even sure who the software company is who produced the card from the NVidia FX5700LE base piece of kit. Its all very confusing and I don't want to throw good money after bad...
Any info' would be much appreciated....... regards JoanSims
