DVD region

Hello everyone,

I am very new to this so please be patient with me. Not used to the jargon yet.

I have a Sony DVP F11 player. it says all regions. I have lost the instruction book. When I lived in the UK it was fine. Have now moved to Malta and can only play region 2 films.

Please can anyone give me explicit instructions for using this on all regions.

Any help greatly appreciated.

From what I've found so far, the DVD F11 was not multregional as standard, but was sold in pre-modified form by some sites.

The majority of the mod-kits seem to support auto-region.

Instructions for one kit, say that:
- from Standby mode
0 ENTER (default player region)
1 ENTER
..
8 ENTER (select region)
SHUFFLE ENTER (play selected region only, no auto)
PROGRAM ENTER (auto on)
(AUDIO CHANGE) ENTER (Videobeamcompatibility disabled)
(ANGLE CHANGE) ENTER (Videobeamcompatibility enabled) - do they mean multistandard?
PREV ENTER Enable user operation prohibitions and access restrictions
NEXT ENTER Disable user operation prohibitions and access restrictions

This may not be the same for all mod-kits
