      Hi Guys
Just bought a liton 811s DVD burner but when I durn a disk it will only plays back on the burner itself. I have an other dvd drive on my computer and I cant get the burnt disc to work on it or my normal set top dvd player. If I get a dvd that has been burnt by someone else using a different burner it works on all my dvd players. All discs are copied using dvdshrink and nero.
      Any Ideas
      Thanks

What media are you using and what format - / + and do you know the firmware on your DVD burner.
If possible try using DVD-R disc with this type of dye Ritek or ProdiscS03 works fine on most if not all DVD burners.
Not to hot on the + side of things yet to use one in a Liteon or Pioneer.

PS: Just checked Liteon Homepage for info on their firmware... DR8HS0P fixes¬
Most DVD players that can't read DVD+RW or DVD+R discs are the older models. This version firmware allows users to modify the BookType setting of a DVD recordable media, thus enhancing the media read compatibility in older DVD playback devices.
