Hi Everyone - great site!
I have a Power Mac G4 1 GHz and I added a Pioneer A06U DVD-r. Burning data files is a breeze with both + and - blank DVDs but when burning a movie in iDVD (apple recommends using - (dash R) for better compatibility on home DVD players) I had some problems. Sometime it burns fine and sometimes it get stuck in a stage of burning forever. I've used 1x, 2x and 4x and different manufactorers also - trying to isolate the issue. I guess my question is, has anyone else had this problem and are some brands of blanks better than others? One other thing - and this could be a coinsidense but it seems to work ok on the footage I imported into iMovie with my mini DV camcorder and not so well on my footage that I used a analog to digital convertor from an older, analog camcorder. But this should matter, should it?
Thansks!
Tony
