      Found this site very useful, so thought I'd introduce myself. Retired layabout, just got new Pioneer 107D DVD writer and trying to find out how to use it.
      First time I've joined such a forum but a lot of what you guy's are saying has been helpful.
      Got some Sony DVD+RW 4x discs and was hoping to backup some of my data on one with the ability to keep it updated. How do I do this?

      you can do this in the same manner you did it with CD-RW before; but personally i wouldn't back up significant data to RW media;
