      Silver coasters for sale

      Hi All

Im one of the influx of newbies you get just after Xmas when we are all stuck and don't know what to do with our new DVD writers.

All this is new to me so I need as much help as poss. I've been a bit ****y and just browsed quickly through some of the guides/threads re DVD and VCD burning and have had a go myself using various apps (Nero 6, DVDXCOPY Platinum) but I've ended up with quite a collection of silver coloured coaters and frisbees for small people.

Hope I can master all this DVD/VCD malarky with your expertise.

Welcome to the forum!Go to the dvd tutorials section, and use Laz's guide. It uses freeware.Only thing might be a problem is with the write process,if you don't have a Pioneer. Then you would need Pro dvd ...more info at www.burnatonce.com or alternatively you could use the dvd-video option in Nero to burn the video files created by Dvdshrink.

      Cheers Woody

I've been looking through all the different guides and threads and there seems to be that many different programs to rip, burn etc I don't know which ones to use. Different people recommend and suggest what they prefer & what they are used to but to a newbie its pretty daunting.

I though it was going to be as easy as burning audio!

No...unfortunately it's a learning process again..Laz's tutorial seems to work quite well.

DvdXcopy is probably the easiest to use,but it is hit and miss..either it works for you,or causes big headaches.

Like I said the only problem with Laz's tutorial is BurnAtOnce doesn't burn with some burners, unless you get ProDvd for BAO.

Sometimes too much software installed will also create problems/conflicts.

Here is a FAQ for people that don't have Pioneer burners, needed for Laz's freeware dvd tutorial.

Rewriteables may not be perfect for all tasks, but they sure as heck allow you to wipe over your mistakes when learning!

It might be a good idea to invest in some RW whilst sussing it out. Its gonna cost a fortune otherwise.

      Nice one lads.
