      just got my dvdr today, so i joined up here

      got the sony drive, trying to absorb all i can today. Looks like you have some good info here.

      Welcome bud!!Be sure to check out the Dvd tutorials first.Lots of info there. Dvd burning/authoring/editing is a new venture for everybody,but not that difficult with right tools,and information..

      Why I think Laz's tutorials "The Totally FREE & Easy DVD Backup guide" is one of the easiest. Have you tried that? Also I would say try a -/+ RW first. Good luck.
