      Smile Hi to Everyone

Hi my name is Jacqueline ( but I perfer Jackie) I live in ChiTown (Chicago, IL USA)found this froum when I ownloaded a cd burner device "CDBurnerXP Pro." The program looks great but how do I use it? There aren't any help instructions listed, the help click takes you to their website that's how I found you good folks. I am just a run-of-the-mill user. I have a Dell Inspiron 2650 Notebook OS is WinXP. my cd burner wizard on puter won't let me burn a cd, I can view files, play music, but Wiz says no writable cd in drive (one is in drive) and next won't let me click to next step. That's why I downloaded the CDBURNERXP Pro program. I think from the posts that I have read you good and very smart folks can help me. Thanx Jackie

      Jackie, welcome!
I echo bionic's sentiments -- try burnatonce to see if you can burn with it; it uses SPTI (built-in driver in XP) to burn, so you don't have to worry about ASPI layers or messed up software you might have loaded. It is free, a small program, and will give you a quick warm fuzzy (or NOT) as to whether you may have a drive problem...
