      Howdy!

      Hello all brethren o' the forum! This is my first day as a member and i thought i'd help you get to know me by telling y'all a little bit about myself.

      My name's Mary and I'm a tech addict. It's been 3 weeks since my last...

      kidding. Actually, I found this site during my trek to get one of my three non-op cdr/cdrw's working. I have been working with computers since '94 and have extensive knowledge in the practical application of how to completely destroy the major components of a perfectly OK system. about a year ago I decided to try to understand (whoa, dems dangerous words round here) why and how a pc works; hardware and all. My track record is improving and the trail of dead components/peripherals left in my wake is thinning considerably.

      WAS THAT ALRIGHT? OK, NOW WILL YOU ANSWER MY MTFING QUESTIONS??????? ...oops, sorry, just a little high strung, what with the problems with the drives and all...


      (hee hee hee) Seriously, I hope we can have a productive kinda forum kinda thing here and thanks in advance for any help you may offer!
