Another warm day - actually, my pillow needs hanging out to dry aftyer last night - still, only a couple more days of this heatwave, and no sign yet of the awful flying ants.

This is Britain, we complain when it's too hot in the summer, when it's too cold in the winter, when the wrong kind of snow or leaves on the line bring the trains to a halt. We complain about the ripoff prices ... have I missed anything?


Not feeling particularly sunny today, as dad's car packed up yesterday - back from the shops, parked outside, went to go out again... plenty of starter, but not one single splutter - and the guy called out wasn't a lot of use either, despite the callout being more than the breakdown insurance limit for home cover.

Could be anything, and with all the perishing electronics in them now, it could be an expensive anything!

here on the NE coast it's been pissing down most days in the last week and no sign of sun. Today is OK but not the best!

I'm on me holidays and there doesn't seem to be many occasion to get the roof down on the car

Well, some parts of London had floods, and after all the effort they've gone to to clean up the river Thames and get fish back in there, the total lack of sewer maintainence led to sewage backing up and being dumped into the river - apparently it'll take years to undo the damage.
