Favorite summer time activity

Good morning to all. Coffee's flowing, and I wish it was capuccino! I was thinking of the rapidly approaching summer-time. Actually, spring is more comfortable in this part of the country. (Unless of course you really like high temps and sweating a lot.) I really like to sit outside on the porch in the evenings with a glass of wine or a beer and watch people, sometimes talking to them. It kind of reminds me that there are real people in the world, not just computer animations. Sometimes I'm reading a book, but even better is reading with someone else there, and discussing it. That doesn't happen often, so mostly I just people watch.

Going Racing (& backing winners) watching cricket & of course testing beer glasses!!

Wish we could do what U folk do in the US & sit on the porch with a shotgun, that would keep all the door to door salesmen away lol

I've developed some pretty ingenious ways to deter salesmen. The hardest are the Jehovah Witnesses though. They're so damn pleasant! Sorry if there are any door to door salesmen or JW's out there. I didn't mean YOU!

Very hot (25-32 deg) & plenty of sunshine
But it's now winter and chilling. Brrrr

Thats a little drastic we save the shotgun for things that go bump in the night. But I have to say I like the my friends way of dealing with them by letting the pitbull loose. And yes it works on JW too. lol
I've been meaning to get one of those NO JW Allowed stickers to go along side my NRA sticker.

Me too..except for the cycling part, i'm too lazy lol .....just a shame we don't get much of a summer in the uk

Ya'll can come to my house and enjoy the fresh air, sunshine and heat for the summer.
All we have to do now is get an invite to Oz for the winter!
