I'll be obtuse and say Apple - since their incompetence led to the rise of the PC.

Actually, Apple MACs (New ones) are not bad; run a proprietary UNIX variant, and even though Adobe is not going to continue the Premier development for Mac, they still are great for Desktop Publishing and Video/Audio work.

The problem is not the Apple machines, but the company which held them back - only now do they fight back with reasonably priced models, after being comprehensively ambushed by inferior but lower priced PC machines - The Apple Mac could have ruled the world, instead of being left to pick up the crumbs.
Mind you, another "golden brickbat" award to Gary Kildall (if I got that right) of Digital Research - who could have been supplying the first DOS for the PC - and without Billy boy getting that toe hold, the PC world could have been a very different place.
