      Oh the HEAT!

      My system is reading 43C case, 54 CPU (and it's usually 34 / 44)

      My cordless mouse died!
I'm makibg twice as many errors as usual ... no patience, no concentration, not much sleep either - if this is Global Warming, then it's got to be STOPPED!

And finally, my desk fan in the corner made a very alarming noise, and then clattered to a halt with the front hanging off.

Even after the time to complete the disassembly, the motor was still to hot to touch.

Amazingly, after fixing bits that had pulled out/worked loose, it wasn't dead (well, it struggled to turn). The motor was very stiff to turn by hand.

A squirt of WD40 on the front and rear bushes freed it up, and it's running better than ever - thank goodness, as it's perishing hot!

PS. Open the windows, and everthing that flies, stings, bites or just buzzes annoyingly makes a beeline .... that reminds me - must clean up the squished ????? - something I didn't like the look of landed close by, and the only thing handy was the knee board for my mouse - what a mess!

i've read about the heat probs you guys in europe have been having and i feel for you. it sounds almost like you're in florida with me.

we are set up for dealing with the heat, though. inside i'm running about 20-25f cooler than it is outside. we just can't handle it if it gets below freezing (or anywhere near it).

we've also had lots of rain and thunderstorms this weekend that i read you guys could use. wish i could send some your way.

Gravesend in Kent recorded the 1st ever temp of over 100 degrees F (recorded @ 38.1 degrees C) in England yesterday (sunday) will cost the bookies about £1 million

On the same day at Redcar in Yorkshire 29mm of rain fell in 20 minutes causing the Sunday horseracing meeting to be called off.

Point is no one gets Such variable weather as we do.

      Well I'm loving it!

I'm working in my office with all the side panels off my system and several upright fans directed at me. Got me shorts on and about to open an ice cold bottle of Pilsner Urquell.

And have hapily bragged to my uncle in the US that it is hotter in scrumpy country UK than Texas! lol

We had 40.4°C yesterday. In germany it is hotter than in greece.

My AMD XP2200 is still running..system 44°C and cpu 54°C.
Okay, i have a lot of fans and it sounds like a Boing 747

Ohh forgot..my Hansol H711 17" TFT is working fine too

@scarecrow...next time you have to make vacations in germany

@Laz..a cold Krombacher Pils is standing near my TFT
