Question Donkey Kong, Hunchback and all the greats - where can they be got ?

I was just thinking how nice it would be to play some of these oldies again and get a taste of my yoof once again. Anyone got any good download sites ?

      A penny saved is ridiculous.

As above. Just enter www.mame.dk and you'll get almost any oldie you want.
Of course you have to signup to download.

      http://www.mame.dk/emulators/ for the emulator.

An easy start for Roms, with no deception, a lot of places have pulled even the MAME roms because of legal wrangles, If I'm wrong, I'm sure ABCMan will correct me I think it was Capcom that started acting nasty a year or two back, not sure..

I love the look of Vector games, design heaven, gravitar yum yum..

I guarantee you Phil K, after messing around with the oldies, at least one of them will end up being a ringtone / Your ringtone..

Not exactly sure what type of roms you are interested in...but these are my favs...

      Super NES emu here:

      Super NES roms here:

Not sure about the legitimacy of roms, dont really care to even entertain that argument. I down the roms that I own...you know the rest about that. If the mods want to bin this post, thats all good too...

ZSNES works flawlessly on all of my machines (intel and AMD). Donkey Kong and all the others can be found there too.

      later...

Did you Read The Friendly Manual included in MAME32?
There is a detailed explanation of how ROMs are managed in MAME; I always download from mame.dk, because it's the most "official" arcade ROM and information repository. But you can't download unless you signup. If you need a very easy to use ROM file manager, I suggest you try RomCenter 2.50. "RomCenter is an application written for 32-bit Windows operating systems, designed to help you maintain and organize your emulators roms collection for various gaming systems including computers, consoles, arcade, calculators and handheld. You can add additional systems through external datafiles available on a lot of sites. RomCenter can audit your games and report which are working or not. It can fix problems such as bad name, missing roms available elsewhere, and clean your set by removing useless or bad roms and files."

Of course you have to signup to download.
If you don't signup and login, the downloads are disabled.

OK Foxy - I'll try again - and you're quite right. I HAD forgotten the "sign up" you spoke of.

ok, i'll input if you need the mame files (very very slowly i'm afraid) try the old site of www.aceroms.com it will link you from there to their new site where gaming heaven awaits (at a max of about 5k/sec if you are lucky) GETRIGHT IS A MUST
