Might give you a clue if it recognises it as a WD

I picked up a 120MB Hard Drive today.
It's significantly cheaper than the Western Digital WD1200JB (120GB EIDE HD, 7200RPM, ATA100 with 8MB Buffer).
It looks like the Western Digital in appearance BUT according to the sticker it's a MAGNETIC DATA TECHNOLOGIES Model MDNR06-1200. There is no mention of this model on thier website www.mdtglobal.com
I haven't installed it yet BUT if it is truely a rebadged WD HD it is a brilliant buy. Of course if it's a shoddy piece of CRAPOLA that has ripped off the WD design....I'm gonna get my money back.
Also it may not have WD 3 Year Warranty BUT I've still running WD HD that are 5 to 6 years old...so I don't really see this as an issue.
Does anybody else have any experience with this drive?
Is there any software that can identify or verify that this is a WD drive?
Any help would be appreciated?!?!?!?

On the side of the box it said "Install Windows XP or better" so I installed LINUX
