      what's the best dvd writer for ps2 backups

      i'm buying a dvd writer and i want to buy 1 that will backup my ps2 games i hear that the pioneer a05 wont back them up. can anyone tell me a dvd writer that will.

      It depends on what drive you have to read the originals.....Pioneer sux for copyprotections,Sony DRU500A can even handle Safedisk 2.8.x.x versions.
      So,if you have to do read and write from the same drive,buy the Sony...if you already have a good dvdrom player,you can buy the Pioneer (if the price difference justifies the abilities difference )

      I've got a Pioner AO5 (IO5) and have had 100% success with PS2 using the tutorials in this forum. I've copied between 250-300 so far and as I said 100%.
