      Question Compaq 910 Temp

My mate has just brought a new Compaq Presario 910. It runs really nice with an AMD Athlon 1600+ (1.4GHz), 512 MB Ram (Shared 64MB ATI Graphics). yada yada yada. It does however seem to get quite hot. I know that Laptops get quite warm anyway however this one seems get warmer than I would have thought. It does have plenty of ventilation etc.

Just wondering if anyone has run into any overheating issues with this series of Compaq Laptop before?

Yes I have by the way tell your friend do don't place it on their lap while it's on....
I used laptops running from AMD 1.4 up to 1.8Mhz, Pent 3, 900Mhz Pent 4 up to 2.60Mhz from IBM,, Toshiba, Sony, Shapes, Compaqq. And found most of them to get very warm compared to say the Sony Vaio (with the same or less spec) which I run 24/7 and run's cool and 1 or 2 Toshiba unit's. Sorry used 1 Dell AMD and that ran cool to warm.
At the end of the day your going to find some hotter then others even from the same brand but do'nt B to alarmed as long as it don't get that Hot where you/mate can't handle the laptop.
By the way there's a good compaq laptop forum I see if I can locate the details for you. No it's not the main Compaq one.
      Tanx You!
