Ok Sony new kid on the block? The GRV680 notebook makes video editing easier on the eyes with a vibrant 16.1-inch SXGA display. The spacious 60-GB hard drive accommodates large video files with room to spare. And the Intel® Pentium® 4 processor 2.60 GHz provides more than ample horsepower to keep up with even the most ambitious of would-be movie makers.

The VAIO PC's dual format DVD recordable drive allows users to record and play back the four most popular types of DVD media - DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R and DVD+RW - giving them the utmost in flexibility and compatibility with the various available DVD playback devices.

I was alittle upset too that they didn't put a faster chip in the package but, it's still a very nice book. Sooner or later the average person will have no need for a desktop. Just buy a fully loaded notebook and your good to go.
