      Power Supply Connections

I'm installing a new power supply, however I didn't take a note of which way the connections go back in. The cables don't have any information on them regarding voltage.

The CD Rom has a 5v/GND/12v connection. Should the red cables on the power supply go to the left or right?

Any information regarding the floppy drive and hardrive connections also appreciated.

      thanks

      bode,
Those power connections to the drives will only plug in one way. If you look at the connector, you will see that on one side there 2 "shaved" off corners so the plug, when you look at it from the end it looks likd a "D" lying down, the short side goes to the top usually, unless your drives are more than 5 years old.

In any event, they will only plug in one way.

I remember starting with the PC and you CAN just force the big connectors in (practice from small women?) if you do not look to see there is something to hamper that. The computers were even SOBER. I'll drink to that!

The Red Wire is +5.0 Volts.
The 2 Black Wires is Ground.
      The Yellow Wire is +12Volts.

I have had a new power supply with the wires
reversed, and It blew up a Harddrive.

It's allways wise to make sure the wires are
in the correct holes. IT CAN HAPPEN!!
