ps2 problem

I dont know if this is the rite forum to ask this but when i play a game its like the ps2 is stuck on moving to the right. I would be racing then all of a sudden it will turn right and be stuck there untill i unplug the controls and put them back in. Is this fixable?

have you tried a new/different controller !?

this could be a faulty wire in the controller cable

I experienced this problem before with my Playstation one a while ago. I solved it by playing the game without the memory card in?? I dont konw why or how or even if it caused this but it worked without the card.
