      Preferrably freeware, but open to any suggestions. Thanx.

      sorry .... i don't understand, then i ask:

      change to what fat?
      16 to 32?
      or 32 to 16?

      good is partition magic....is not freeware!

      I know about PM and don't care for it. Looking for a possible freeware alternative. FAT16/FAT32 do not refer to cluster sizes btw. They are Partition allocation tables. Clusters are a seperate thing altogether.

      Partition Magic (v8) is the only prog I know of that includes cluster changing options, but you're still constrained by the usual DOS limitations.

      Partition Resizer is a freeware program that can do it.....Acronis partition Expert and Paragon Partition Manager are commercial programs that can do it....
