Not having any luck with amplify weak

Sorry its kinda long winded . . .

Im using XP pro and a Yamaha 2200E (with scsi convertor, 2200S) - but i cannot get CloneCD to work properly.

I changed all regional related settings to canada, keyboard, location, regional setting, time zone, even languages.

Having installed it - i get the icon after a reboot, but i only have the "hide cdr" option - i do not have the "amplify weak sector" option.

In the registry - amplifyweak was set to "0" after the installation, i have since changed it to "1" but after a reset the tray icon still gives only the "hide cdr" option.

When i try copying a SD2 cd to image i still get sector read errors (at the beginning of the disk) when viewing the log during a copy.

Does anyone have any ideas, strange that your instructions for XP worked with yourself and friends Woody, i dont understand.

      Oh Golly - It works

This is one success story . . .

Just copied my original copy of Max Payne without any problems
works brilliantly - i thought i might had the need to get a crack or something to run with the copied disk - but CloneCD is amazing - copies SD2s perfectly, if not near perfect

Woody is very helpful - we should thank him for the helpful posts

The instructions Woody posted for Windows XP works fine - just that Amplify Weak Sectors options is under the "Burn Image to CD" section, of course you'll have to copy a SD2 disk to image first.

Just have to make sure that the regions settings are correctly set and, theres no real need to change keyboard and other settings - only region. Plus the registry setting for "AmplifyWeak" set to "1" for some reason mine sets to "0" after installation - just had to edit and change it.

If u change the region settings back to what you had either UK or US, you might not get the tray icon in the task bar. Whether that means Amplify Weak Sectors is switched off - i dont really know - havn't tried as yet.
