New Clone CD

How can I get the new full versions of clone cd to work living in the USA? 2 of the features are disabled because of where I live.

Set your region to CaHere is a fix to the "amplify weak" option that makes it available to those in the US/GB.

1. Run REGEDIT
2. Perform a search for "amplify weak".
3. Double click when found, and enable by entering "1" vice "0".
"Amplify weak" appears twice in the registry, make sure you enable both.

or set your region to Canada in the control panel - the simplest way!

Yep,great tip!Thanks for that!Anyone in the U.S just has to go to control panel and change regional settings to Canada.It works fine for a couple of people I know in the U.S using Win2k or XP.We use the same language and time zones,so it's not a big deal.It enables hide cdr, so atip checks are disabled in the games, and game patches.Plus,now you can make perfect SD2 copies with most non-compatible writers.
Same thing can be done for people in Great Britain.

How you already testet it, means that fifa 2002 , aquanox, and all the new version of safedisc 2 I will able to copy with my non comatible burner (Plextor 1210TA)

BTW.Version 3202 of Clone cd is out already.It contains bug fixes for 3201.

Can someone tell me what 'Amplify Weak' means and what it can be used for please? Also will it work on Yamaha 16-10-40 or Plextor 412C drives?

I tried setting region to Canada - no good. Looked for "amplify weak" - not found. Uninstalled prog, ran cleaner for CCD, reset region for Canada, reinstalled CCD (latest vers.) still no good? Any other suggestions? I really look up to the peeps that submit the info here, but am in a bit of a quandry here. Thanks all - - -

i have just set my regional setting in control panel to canada and it works fine with me using the latest clonecd

Hi Tony.Welcome to the forum!Most PC games released recently are Safedisc2.The protection uses 'weak' sectors that stops most writers from writing the disc information back properly.Only certain writers are able to write this information back correctly.This new Clone version is supposed to correct those sectors so almost any writer can produce working copies.

A rule of thumb is ,if your writer can write (old Safedisc)it will now be able to write Safedisc2.

So surely your Yamaha and Plextor can do the trick.

Take a look here for a list of games that use this protection (list will be updated periodically).

Just tried the tweaks for clone cd and am unable to find "amplify weak" in a search of the registry, and changing region to Canada isnt working either. any suggestions ? I even uninstalled CCD, ran CCD cleaner, then reset region for Canada, then reinstalled CCD (latest ver.) and still nothing, nothing found in registry, and installer says "you live in USA so these functions will be disabled"

I should Clarify here.The instructions I gave are for Win 2K or Xp.I believe 98 and Winme are different!
