external pioneer dvr 111d

Hi all i have just got a external dvr 111dpioneer dvr 111d but i can not record dvd's i can play them also i can play and record cd's with it how do i get it to record dvd's ? O/S xp home sp1 i have installed shrink,decrypter and nero startsmart what else do i need to make it work thankyou in advance for any advice anyone can give me.

Hi thankyou for reply can you tell me what i have to set my drive as ? master or slave it is connected to my pc by a usb 2 port.

if you configured your external drive case yourself, then set the drive jumper to master; if the drive was sold as complete external box, don't touch the jumpers;

also we need to specify your problem; What's wrong? When/What does fail while DVD burning?
and please attach the Nero log file here, so we can look for conflicting drivers; the Nero log file is called "NeroHistory.log" and is stored in the Nero program folder; when posting the file please delete out your Nero serial number;
