Problems with LG burnerDVD and Record now

I´ve gotten hold of Record now - i was told it was a good program to use for backing up ps2 games. My problem is just that the application wont recognice my LG (GSA-4040B) dvd burner - it detects my cd-r burner fine, but it cant se my dvd burner......
      Can anybody help me.......Thanks

      There's no reliable way out.
You can install PXengine update 507 from here: http://www.orlogix.com/support_downl...updates&pn=rnm
But still you wont have full support for the device (probably it will show up as supported via "silent update") and the burns will be hit-or-miss. better wait for the next pxengine update, although you shouldn't expect any consistency from Sonic.

Give Padus Discjuggler a try... it's the most advanced mastering and burning application out there, with exchellent device support, although the user interface is somewhat hostile until you get used to it.
By the way if you had both Nero 6 AND RecordNow installed together, then you were out of luck, even if your burner were supported (it isn't yet, it seems).
I also like RecordNow very much, but it has prop[er support only for my Sony DVD burner. The Plextor Premium CDRW drive is supported only via "silent update" although it's more than one year old. On the other hand, Discjuggler even supports its advanced unique features (VariRec, Gigarec).
