Since installing new dd0203 burner every now and then when I insert a dvd/cd into burner or cd-rom, winxp crashes to a blue screen with the message….

A wait operation, attach process or yield was attempted from a DPC routine.
Tech info stop 0x000000b { 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000 }
Beginning dump of physical memory
Physical Mem dump complete

Any idea’s?

Hi,
I get exactly the same problem. I have the OPtorite as master and a Pioneer DVD-ROM DVD106 as slave on secondary IDE.

I have just updated to the latest firmware from http://www.optorite.com/firmware.htm and hopefully this will resolve the problems.

I actually switched motherboards because of the problem, looks like i misdiagnosed! Hard to track what's causing the problem when it's so intermittent.

Well .. what do you know ? I have the same problem but have already upgraded the firmware on my DD0201 to 2.30 (the latest level) and am still having the same problems..... I've also been looking around for other causes such as ATA Cable etc... but no such luck !!
Have you managed to resolve it yet ?
