2 questions about lite-on dvd burners

The 1st question is, what are the primary differences between the 401s & the 411s?
The 2nd question is, will either of the previously mentioned drives burn the vast array of cd protections that my lite-on cd burner does? (assuming that I can use a dvd burner to burn cds!)

The 411s is a dual format drive (dvd-r & dvd+r)
The 401s is a single format drive (dvd+r)
Both drives uses the same chipset, so their basicly the same when it comes to cd overburning and copy protections.
Yes probably, they both reads and writes most protections
