      Angry "Please insert blank disc"

Okay I have searched the www over and over including this forum. I cannot find help.... I have a new (1 month old) Toshiba LPTOP with a DVD+RW. First try backing up my favorite movie with most recent version of dvdcrypt to HDD using ISO. WOrks great. Now I goto DVDClone and try to burn to Fujifilm DVD+R and I get "Please insert Disc"...ahhh there is a disc in there. I had same problem with Imation DVD+R's. I checked the disk in Alcohol 120% disc properties and it says NO DISC. I can put a CDR in and it will see it but DVD-R's no go! Sux big ones. What am I doing wrong? Is it media? 2/2 media not working so far?!Winsucks XP don't even see the disc. Thanks for help in advance. Also has anyone had any compatability probs with clonedvd, alcohol, nero, dvdxpress, blindwrite and dvdcrypt all newest versions..i thinkd,, as I have them all on shiba. Thanks again. Ciao

      Unhappy almost

Thanks Woody for the quick response,,,while after doing the aspichk I found that I didn't have the correct ASPI layer loaded. I used ForceASPI and corrected this problem. I then disabled the windows xp cdburner. I also removed Xpress, clonecd and blindwrite. I restarted at least twice then turned around three times and clicked my heals together for luck...but notta. So now what? I guess it could be the media...really a big bummer man. I have noticed that windows hangs when I click on the drive to get properties or just explore the drive with the dvdr. Have a Fujifilm CDRW also but I have the same trouble with it. I have no problem playing DVD's. Anyone have any experience with the new toshiba SD-R6112 DVDR+W drive? I hope that someone can solve this crazy mystery....all the other forums I have visited have kinda died off trying to solve it. Again thanks in advance!!

See if you can find a media compability list for your burner, might be the media is not supported with your current firmware.

      Talking Dah! Double Dah Dah!

As usual its something simple that makes us grin the loudest. Upon further inspection I noticed that my DVD+R/RW drive in infact a
DVD-R/RW drive!! The fact that Toshiba sent nothing for documentation with the dam puter in the first place...all generic crapola "If you must turn off your computer, first select shut down..." Well I am sorry I wasted our time and I appreciate everyones quick responses. Sometimes we just amaze ourselves. Upon exchanging for DVD-R disc and placing on in the drive...Bingo-Bongo we have disc and !POOF! we have burn. Thanks again guys and we may want to include a DUMMY PROOF Tutorial about the incompatabilities of DVD-R/RW with DVD+R/RW disc and drives. aHHH!

      Regards,
