      Talking NEC ND-1100A & ND-1300A are they the same drive?

      Just found this info about the NEC DVD drives.
      By all accounts they are both the same drive "Electrically Identical"

      Hmm has far as i knew the nd 1100 is a 2x dvd-writer and the nd1300 a 4x dvd writer

      Noop,
      1100A is 4x writer for DVD+R and 2.4x for DVD+RW

      They are eletrically identical however not physically and so there will not be a firmware hack to upgrade to the1300.
