The folks at The FirmWare Page have finalized the Pioneer DVR-105 2x4All FirmWare Hack.

The “Final Release” of the Pioneer DVR-105 v1.30, Region Free, 2x4All firmware is available at -

The FirmWare Page forum member NIL who is the author of all of the DVR-105 v1.30 2x4All Release Candidate firmware hacks states in his Sun Apr 06, 2003 9:45 pm posting at the above referenced thread “Don’t Use Any Of The RC’s (Release Candidate) Firmware Hacks If You Want To Stay Out Of Potential Trouble. Use Only The Final Release.

Thanks for that Coaster, upgrading now. Not that I had a problem with the first RC1 version, but then again I have only burn the 1 type of DVDR ever since anyway.

You gotta love it!The guy that wrote the hack is a freakin' genius.Just finished a dvd at 2X,on cheap 1X Princos.No errors,works fine!

The latest version of the firmware now breaks the 2x max ripping speeds and turns the Pioneer into a true 12x DVDROM when ripping.
