Jvc Xv-s300/302

Just a little problem realy,

Is there anybody out there who owns a JVC XV-S300/302 ?
If yes, do you know if it is compatible with DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R and DVD+RW ?
The JVC manual says it is not compatible with these formats but on the other hand i see lots of internetshops selling these players and they say it IS compatible with at least DVD-R.
I wanna buy a DVD burner and want to be sure my JVC plays the discs.
Please help.

Check out the Dvd players list at www.vcdhelp.com people list there success with standalone players there.Just use it as a guideline,only.The players are rated by people who own them.
