liteon 163 dvdrom?

i have a liteon 163 dvd rom fw gh5e in my pc it worked fine until i used connected it up to my smart 2000 dvd player which is a stand alone,it has a ide cable and standard rom power conector in,it worked fine in the smart 2000 played a vcd and dvd,but when i put it back in my pc it can't read a ps2 dvd anymore?but it can read cdr,have i knackered it.

Hi bud,I don't have a definite answer.Hopefully the standalone uses the same voltages(power connection).Try playing a standard dvd (store bought).If it won't play send it back,if still under warranty,tell them it just quit on you.
