Custom Script CCE, runtime 5 error after

As the title implies, I am receiving a runtime error 5 once CCE finishes encoding and muxman starts up - not sure why muxman cant find the video source, what happens?? I am using a custom script.

I will try again tonight, running through like normal without a custom script. Most likely will run through AOK.

This does not necessarely means that muxman cant find the video file, I think muxman is rejecting it. Don´t know why . . .

You can invoke muxman gui and try to add the video file to see what it complains about.

Yea I understand now... Muxman GUI rejects the file also (renamed movie.d2v to movie.m2v). Funny part is the d2v file is only 904kb! Shouldnt it be the size of the encoded movie?? Probably my AVI script screwing things up...back to drawing board for me.

    4. #4
Hmmm, I changed my script up to something really simple that should definately be working. Still receiving runtime error 5 when muxman kicks in...

Same error, muxman rejected the file...

Just changed the AVS script to the following, nothing else has changed...

      Code:

      What DECOMB.DLL does ?

I see from mpeginfo that the source is 23.976 FPS so DVDREasy will execute PULLDOWN. DVDREasy does this ALLWAYS with sources of 23.976.

But if DECOMB.DLL allready performs pulldown, then the second PULLDOWN(invoked by dvdreasy) may "scramble" the video file, then MUXMAN rejects it.

I run a couple of tests with custom scripts and all run fines, but you must know what you are doing . . .

Can you confirm me what exactly DECOMB.DLL does ?

      Cheers

      http://neuron2.net/decomb/decombnew.html

I believe you are correct, this does automatically perform the 3:2 conversion. If you download the zip, it contains 3 reference files of decomb.dll and what it does. I was hoping to use this as a way to correct my encodes IVTC problems for some NTSC movies.

      Thanks man

I just tried a normal run through of DVDReasy, no custom AV script, still received the same error 5 after cce encode finishes, and muxman starts...let me try reinstalling DVDReasy...

    8. #8
Still no go, still getting runtime error 5 after encode using custom script or no custom scriptt....

      DVDREASY help me

      Hi Naro,

Please post your last DVDREasy log (the one with standart avisynth script) and a list of DVDREasy working directory files

Can you confirm that, when you receive the error message, you really have movie.m2v in you working directory ?

      This is very strange !!!
      -----------------------
After CCE encoding you have 169,847,208 KB free
After PULLDOWN you still have 169,847,208 free (which is correct, after pulldown the size of video is the same)
BUT... After MUXMAN(failed) you have 173,894,480 Kb free
You have more 4 GB available (corresponding to the size of video file) MUXMAN deleted the file ???

Are you sure that your system is virus cleaned ???

      Waiting reply . . .

    10. #10
Very interesting. System is definately virus clean. When I receive the error there is no movie.m2v.

I will do a another encode, simple 1 pass, with my working directory open in the background and see whether the movie.m2v file is atleast created and present, but then magically deleted by muxman. If not even created, whats going on??

    11. #11
Okay, watching this 2nd encode, the whole process goes accordingly. Once Pulldown starts, it does create the final.m2v and movie.m2v files. But once this finishes, and muxman starts and the files are automatically deleted and error 5 appears. Hmm WTF??

      Naro,

DVDREasy does PULLDOWN with movie.m2v as input and final.m2v as output.
When PULLDOWN finish DVDREasy delete movie.m2v and rename final.m2v to movie.m2v

      I didn't alter PULLDOWN rotine in DVDREasy since ... 0.3.6 (I think)

Did the conversion process worked well in previous versions of DVDREasy ?

I will try to do a conversion with a NTSC movie 23.976 FPS ASAP !

    13. #13
Yea DVDReasy worked fine prior to this latest version. I upgraded to .7.1, didnt work and I have also completely uninstalled then reinstalled with full.7.1. Still no go. I have also tried HC encoder with same results, movie.m2v and final.m2v appear from the pulldown process, but then are suddenly deleted once muxman starts up. Error 5.

    14. #14
Easy enough, I tried another movie, worked fine. Something is up with this Godfather II disc 1 dvd that DVDReasy does not like....no idea whats different.

      Hi Naro,

I also did an NTSC 23.976 FPS conversion and all went well

Beside that, I have DVDREasy 0.7.2 ready and implemented a waitstate (5 seconds) after PULLDOWN bettewen the delition of MOVIE.M2V and the renaming of FINAL.M2V to MOVIE.M2V

0.7.2 release will be available tonight (I hope)

      Cheers
