Hi,
GREAT progress about OPV in HC !
Now, I'm using a corrective factor and all the movies I did are ON TARGET :
Did 3 movies (01h:56m, 02h:10m and 02h:43m) and the final size (after authoring) is between 4,29GB and 4,32 GB
You could expect a new relase of DVDREasy very soon.![]()
Of course, that the 2 pass option continues to be available . . .
Cheers,

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.....
Great news!
I think a lot of people will be very happy, HC has been a revelation in itself and I must mothball CCE for a while to do more testing on it myself using dvdreasy & DVD-RB.
Hear, hear! Two great backup apps, although DVDReasy is getting the edge due to it's simple setup & operation. The last DVD-RB seems to be getting more & more complicated to install & setup. Me likes simple!![]()
2 encodings of the same movie, but HCEnc encoded pretty much undersized on this one...it was with 3.84 GB as final result even 200 MB less than the CCE 2.50 encoded film, wich wasn't that big either, only 4.06 GB...
Played them randomly, but they were both good, without having any artefacts...HCEnc OPV caused twice as much time as CCE's OPV,but the colors look a tad better for me....
The 2nd I tried with HCEnc,came closer to a full disc....that 1 was 4.27 GB..
QLB Matrix used on the HCEnc encodings...
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.....
Thanks Roadworker,
Yep, 3.84GB is about 9% undersized - dam too much !!!
What I notice is, with this method, longer movies becomes more closer to target than short ones. Perhaps the corrective factor must take this in consideration.
I will have to do more tests with OPV in HC . . .
Yes, OPV in HC takes about 2 times more than in CCE.
I hope Hank315 could improve encoding speed in the next version of HC. But, to my concern, quality above speed . . .
Cheers,
