Run-Time error '76': path not found

      Hey folks,

I just got DVDREasy installed (o.5.8) and got the above error while attempting to convert my first movie. A bunch of windows pop- up. Here are the other messages:

      1) <path to working dir>\vts_01_1.idx
      File not found.
Please verify the correct name was given.

      2) An open file dialog window asking me to specify the location of the above file. I can't find it anywhere on my system.

      3) SubToSup 0.9 Beta program window. Has a text box that wants the file from #1 above!

So, evidently the SubToSup program that DVDREasy uses is not configured properly? Can someone please point out what I need to do to fix it?

      Thanks...

      Uploading files for debugging

Here is the log file- see attached..

Wait - I see the file that SubToSub was complaining about - it is in the working dir! Attaching that one also...

      Thanks...

      false alarm

False alarm - the file has .IFO suffix - not .IDX

      hi twbutler,

from your log file, I see that the source of the movie is "C:\CASTLE_IN_THE_SKY\VIDEO_TS\VTS_02_0.IFO".

DVDREasy doesn´t work with the files ripped to HD(directly). If you allready have the files in your HD, you must use a tools like DaemonTools to mount a virtual drive, wich will be assigned to a drive letter (ex: H:\ )

Then, in DVDREasy choose the IFO from that drive.

BTW, did you follow any guide to do what you are doing ? (you are the second person with the same procedure, I'm asking if it is written anyware. . . )

      Cheers

      I followed the guide!

      I am confused.

The guide posted below states that the disc must be ripped first using DVD Decrypter, manually. It implies that DVDREasy only does conversion.

This is an up to date site that was last updated: 2 May 2005. I do not think I can use Daemon tools - doesn't it require an ISO image file in order to mount a virtual drive? It seems very strange to me that the program cannot just read the rip I have already performed. Could I not copy the rip into the working folder somewhere and then run DVDREasy to pick up from there?

      Thanks,
      -T

You don´t need to RIP the files first !
DVDREasy does it all for you. Just put the DVD with the movie you want to backup in your DVD drive and in DVDREasy choose the IFO of the main movie from the DVD

      Got it ?

      Cheers,

      DVDREasy
