If so, could you please post vsettings.txt and hc.ini ?
Thanks

First off I want to say that the effort you make to get this program working is nothing short of amazing. I am happy to have found a viable solution for quality, quick and easy backup.
I however have one problem and am seeking advice. I used the included HC encoder and backed up my copy of Star wars episode I. Thanks to the latest updates, it completed flawlessly and it was great.
Here's the problem: one of the scenens there are 2 ppl fighting with light sabers. During the movement there are lines that appear (black lines) much like when video is interlaced. Throughout the movie there are always lines when there is lots of movement on the screeen.
The original DVD does not have these lines.
Is there any settings that would reduce/remove the lines? They are really annoying and I'm guessing I'm not the only on with this paticular problem.

I deleted it :-(
I don't have very much disk space available, so I didn't have a choice. I am pretty sure that my eyes aren't playing tricks on me, but I will try to redo the process and forward that information to you through the forum...
Does anybody else notice this phenomenon?

Sorry about the double post, but I thought I'd let you know that I will not have the time to make another rip until later this week, in order to procure you with the information that you need.
I did a backup with Nero and did not have the lines that I was experiencing with DVDREasy. It really detracts from the viewing and I really just wanted to say that I've compared the the Nero Recode output to the DVDREasy output and it seems that those lines are not supposed to be there (the aren't in the original, neither in the nero recode)
I will try to get that done by later this week. (It takes me close to 6h30 for a backup with the HC encoder)

BTW, the conversion(star wars) was from an NTSC movie ?
Yes it was NTSC. I will make sure to give you the details of the files you require as soon as possible.

This type of backup process is new to my use, but if it can get results like the scene gets on some of their releases, it'll be worth it. I also got some interlacing problems with the movie I backed up.I was wondering if I should have checked the progressive box or not. I anyone would know, it would be dvdreasy...thanks![]()
Please, post you dvdreasy.log file

Hi Jayman67,
I think it could be a bug in DVDREasy . . .
Do you still have all the files in working directory ?
if so, could you please open a command line window (start -> run -> cmd) and run the following command (exactly as is):
"C:\Program Files\DVDREasy\mpeginfo\mpeginfo.exe" "C:\Working\movie.m2v" "C:\Working\test.txt"
And post the file "C:\Working\test.txt"
Thanks
