      Thats ok.

Look, if you have an AMD cpu stick to CCE 2.50. If you have a INTEL you could change to 2.7 couse is faster.
HC encoder also delivery great quality . . .

Whenever you do another conversion and feel that the result encoded movie is interlace please post here.

      Cheers,

After 3 successful backups, I'm now experiencing the same problems. I've done 2 successful backups of CASINO using Hank's coder 13b (to compare MPEG matrix & BEST matrix) as well as one successful backup of BLACK HAWK DOWN (Hank's 13beta - MPEG matrix).

I'm now trying to backup The Aviator, but the output has jagged lines in the picture whenever there is movement. I've tried Hank's 13beta QLB matrix, Hank's 14beta QLB matrix & Hank's 14beta MPEG matrix. All three discs have jagged lines when motion is displayed. I've kept all information for the last encoding & will post screenshots shortly.

      Hi Shocker9000,

The most revelant file is "dvdreasy.log" (wich contain all the settings grabbed from MPEGinfo).

      Please post that one !

BTW, is it an NTSC movie ?

      Cheers,

      DVDREasy

      Thanks for your post

      This is really strange . . .

As you can see, from MPEGinfo, the material is PROGRESSIVE :
      picture structure=frame, DCT type=frame, Frame type=progressive

So, in HC.ini there isn't the command *INTERLACE (wich instruct HC to encode the video as interlace)

I don't quite understand how the encoded video becomes interlaced

I will try to ask Hank315 if he got an explanation for this . . .

      Cheers,

      DVDREasy
