      Could my DVDR be Encrypted?

Hi all, I have copied the Audio and video_ts folders to my hardrive with the intention of using them to make a copy of my orig DVDR.

When i tried to play the file however (using windvd) it will only play a title screen and then it stops. I am not sure but i think the DVDR may have been re-encrypted or something.

I am able to work out which of the vob files contain the movie but i am unsure how to burn them as a dvdr without using the other files.

tried nerovision but 1/2 way through i was told that my dvdr was not big enough for the files.

here are the files i have, any help on isolating and burning the .vob files or if any one knows which file may be blocking the playback i would appreciate any help.

      VTS_05_0
      VTS_05_0.bup
      VTS_05_0.vob
      VTS_05_1.vob
      VTS_05_2.vob
      VTS_05_3.vob
      VTS_05_4.vob
      VTS_01_0.bup
      VTS_01_1.vob
      VTS_01_0
      VIDEO_TS.vob
      VIDEO_TS

The .Vobs that contain the movie are the ones that start with VTS_05

      The
      VTS_05_0
      VTS_01_0
      VIDEO_TS
      files have win dvd icons

      the rest have data icons

      thanks for any help

      HI,

How did you copy the files to your HD ?

You must use a sofware like DVDDECRYPTER to "RIP" the files from your DVD to your HD. a simple "drag & drop" from windows explorer don´t work. The files are still encrypted.

You are using DVD-/+ R Single layer, right ?

Single layer can only handle 4.7 GB of data, while Double layer can handle about 9 GB. Almost all original DVD's are double layer.

So, you must use a program like DVDREasy to convert the main movie in a way that fits in single layer DVD (4.7 GB)
