      DVDREasy 0.3.7 (Beta)

      hi,

      Here is DVDREasy 0.3.7 (Beta)

Basicly it is the same version of 0.3.6 without the fade (alphablend) window efect.

After some tests, I realized that IFOEDIT slows down when DVDREasy windows is in alphablend mode. Donīt know why !!!

This could be the problem that some of you reported about DVDREasy crashing in IFOEDIT step.

Could you please try and post the results.

      Install :
      - Just unzip the file and put dvdreasy.exe in dvdreasy directory (ex: c:\program files\dvdreasy)

      Here is the file :

1st attempt seemed to be succesful, but the iso was incomplete, only 1.4 gig......2nd,3th,4th and any further attempt made my machine crash and shutdown itself at the bitrate viewer stage....
I think something is wrong with that partition, gonna start from scratch and report back..

      Some findings:

For some movies, like "TROY",an extra command is needed in DvdrEasy to remove the RCE protection automaticly when DvdDecrypter starts ripping.....
ATM,DvdDecrypter pops up a window and you have to set region manually before the ripping proceeds...
The Ifoedit problem still exists, the program window exits when multiplexing.....it proceeds in the background when the "runtime S" error appears on your screen.....
The green subtitle problem is gone.....subtitles are normal now.

I tried 5 times with the same movie, and the everytime the output went fine now,but the Ifoedit error persists.....

Forgot to mention that ISO creation failed after the Ifoedit stage, but I guess that's because of the runtime 5 problem .....the ISO creation did never start...

      Thanks Roadworker

Yes, when you got "run time error 5" in IFOEDIT the ISO creation failed.

I'm looking for a substitute for IFOEDIT.

There is a new tool that looks promissing - "muxman" by mpucoder. The last realease is 0.11 and soon it will have "Command line Interface".

But for now, can I ask you a favor ?
-I will make a new beta that will wait more time in IFOEDIT task (now is 300 cpu cycles, I will change it to 1000 cpu cycles) and You test it.

      Cheers,

      DVDReasy

      OK,

Here is DVDREasy 0.3.7 (beta 2)

I changed the wait time in IFOEDIT task from 300 cpu cycles to 1000 cpu cycles.

      Please post your results . . .

Still having the "runtime 5" problem....
      A few differences:
DvdrEasy window stays on top now,it doesn't close anymore.
Ifoedit main window exits when multiplexing, but it stays almost 2X longer than before before it closes.
The navpack creation progress bar shows up on my desktop after the multiplexing is complete......

      HI,

      I'm confused now...
The log file says that ifoedit process ended.

      did multiplex finished ?
are you saying that IFOEDIT main window close but the multiplex window stays visible ?

Another thing : your log file says that CCE took 8 Hours to encode
this is to much. can you specify your system settings.

The logfile is written when the main window of Ifoedit quits.
If you compare both logfiles, you'll see that the log says that the Ifoedit process ends @ 9 minutes for the 1st and @ 22 minutes for the 2nd.....

Multiplex finishes in the background,a while after the main closes.
When the main window closes, also does the multiplex window.
With the 0.37 beta 2,a new window shows up after the multiplexing finishes:
      "creating navpacks"

      OK,

"Changing NAV PACKS" is the last thing that IFOEDIT does after multiplex. Its when it creates the IFO and BUP Files.

But, I think something is wrong with your machine. 8 Hours to encode by CCE...and 22 minutes are not enough for IFOEDIT to author...

Anyway, As soon muxman has "command Line Interface" i will modify DVDREasy to use it instead IFOEDIT.

      Cheers,

I'm trying to find what causes that,I usually go to sleep a short while after CCE starts.....it starts at about 1.5 realtime encoding,so that's not so bad.....
But it's usually still running when I wake up...

On windows 2000 SP4,it works like a charm!
I still don't know what causes the problem on my laptop....uninstalled and re-installed most of the codecs, still no luck...
Oh well, perhaps servicepack 2 that plays a game with me....
Anyway....this log is from my XP 3200:

      Hi Roadworker,

Glad you can finally work with DVDREasy

Definitly, something is wrong with your laptop. the encoding time is now 6 hour less (8 hours in laptop vs 2 hours in PC) and ifoedit goes all the way.

In you laptop, are you using pre-installed windows XP or did you formated the HD and did a fresh installation ? Try to upgrade the drivers, especially the drivers board and bios.

      Cheers,

      DVDREasy
