      DVDREasy 0.36 - pdh.dll???

I used DVDReasy first time and then...

I have downloaded the DVDREasy 0.36 Package and tryed to install it.
During installing came the message: “Error 1931” C/Windows/system 32/pdh.dll can t be updated”.

I use winxp service pack 1 and have a P4, 2,5GHz. What is wrong?

      Hi,

Beside the error message, did the installation complete ? can you use DVDREasy ?

I tried the installation of DVDREasy 0.36 Package on several computers and never had any kind of errors.

I will do a search(MSDN and google) to see if there are simillar problems reported.

      Cheers,

      DVDREasy

      Yes,

      BITRATE VIEWER Failed !

      Make sure that:

-you are using the correct bitrate viewer (you can download it from http://www.tecoltd.com/bitratev.htm - download BV.EXE and install it)

      - you informed DVDREasy (in Folders and Paths menu) of BITARTE VIEWER installation location (ex: C:\Program Files\BitrateView\bitrate.exe)

      Cheers,
      DVDREasy

I have already installed the correct bitrate viewer, Version 1.5.054 full version
      and the path is also correct; that is not the problem;

i saw also that cce was open twice - why??
      Cheers, Amoroso

First time CCE run is only to create ECL FILE.

Then all the settings from DVDREasy, BITRATE VIEWER and CHAPTERS are aplyed.

And finally, with the correct ECL FILE CCE run to encode.

    10. #10
and now, what is the problem???

all is installed correct, but something went wrong?
is the pdh.dll the problem or what??

Your ECL doesn't seem from CCE SP 2.50.01.00 !

Take a look at this thread (http://www.dvdrbase.com/showthread.php?t=42295) and look for a "movie.ecl.txt" (the same information that is write in the logfile->dvdreasy.log) open it and see the diferences.

Could you please run CCE and goto HELP -> ABOUT...

DOES IT SAY "Cinema Craft Encoder SP Ver 2.50.01.00" ?

Im on win2k sp4 and also got an error message reg pdh.dll(Windows Performance Data Helper DLL) on install(windows dll protection and something about this program might not work properly unless i update my system). Install went fine after that. But during ifoedit i got a runtime 5 error .
Found a never version of the pdh.dll on the net(original was v.5.0.2195.6660 and the new one was v.5.1.2600.2180(xp version??)). Tried to reinstall and got no error. Then again i got runtime error 5 during ifo edit. In both cases my event log shows performance counter errors.
      Havent got any logs atm.
But i do use cce sp 2.50.01.00 and i have the right bitrate viewer and dvdreasy is set up correctly.
Also i have seen others with runtime 5 errors with this version.

Looks like a great tool btw

What do you mean by performance counter errors ?

Does ifoedit finished the authoring task ?

In the same task (ifoedit) ?

    15. #15
During ifoedit i get a runtime 5 error, dvdreasy then shuts down while ifoedit continues and i have to shut it down manually.
      Havent tried letting it finish(yet)
Dont remember exactly, but the eventlog says something about system or counters being to busy for performance counters to get info. And since the pdh.dll is a helper dll for reading the performance data i thought it might be related.

And yes the (few) reports ive seen, states it errors out before cce. But this is not detailed descriptions of when and how just some peeps bi**ing .

Ill run some tests and get back to you on the exact errors later today
