no its on my h: drive which is hdd not dvd drive ... my d: is the dvd drive

CCE is trying to create de VAf file in d:\ (dvd-rom drive)
Check your Folders and path settings!
should i make the path to the dvdeasy workin folder ... for the output and logfile paths in cce ... i am also using the 2.5 version of cce .... is that ok

Your Working folder should point to h:\whateveryouwant (ex: h:\movie) and not to your dvd-rom drive letter (d:\video_ts).
Yes, version 2.5 is the right one !
