      CCE or hardware problem?

i used to use dvd2svcd but having found dvdreasy i think the gui is much more user friendly

however i have a major problem when it comes to CCe encoding

everytime about halfway through the second pass i get an error message stating ' error video encode does not match that of the previous pass' and occasionally my pc reboots at this point.

i have now found i cant run dvd2svcd either without a reboot halfway through

i tried just encoding 1 pass but still got the same error message

      please can anyone help me

i know CCE is by far the best encoder out their & really dont want to give up on it!

      thanks

If it is CCE ver 2.50 your running, then do a search (here or Google) for the CRC Patch, that will solve your problem.

thanks for the info chicken man

i installed the crc patch but ive got a new problem

i keep getting 'CCE has encountered a problem and needs to close' error messages. the same thing happens with besweet when running dvd2svcd

and the worst part of it is that i used to run dvd2svcd trouble free to do all of my encoding on this very system but lately im just getting errors

i would appreciate any further suggestions as i really dont want to give up on CCE

Are you converting AVI's or DVD's with DVD2SVCD ? If AVI's then the problem lies with the avi, check it with divfix/divxrepair/etc. If dvd's, then you have a system problem, try installing DVD2SVCD again. What software have you installed since it was working okay?

its happening with both avi's & dvd's but i recently had to do a re-install of windows & reformat etc so i know my system is clean

it was happening before i re-installed & now again after the reformat

ive got this strange nagging feeling that it may be a ram problem though

do you think this is possible?

Im using the same ram now as before when everything worked fine but i kept getting a BSOD that was why i reinstalled

its just strange that it only happens with beswet & CCE & nothing else

Absolutely, if you have the slightest memory problem then CCE will find it. Normally no BSOD, it just hands the system.
