hello Viper version 0.15 have this:
      DVDREasy 0.1.5 is out !

The conversion process is a little diferent :

      - Ifo parsing is made inside DVDREasy (and not by vstrip)
      - Rip is made by DVD Decrypter (which is much faster and less erroneous)
      - ChapterXtractor is not needed anymore (DVD Decrypter will generate Chapters files for CCE and IFOEDIT)
      - Ifo corrections is made inside DVDREasy (and not by IFOEDIT - PGC colors, Audio and subtitles languages)

So, VSTRIP and ChapterXtractor will not be used anymore and DVD Decrypter will be a new tool in the conversion process.

ReBuilder is another alternative but it does the whole dvd to dvdr, menus included. Just had a good look at DVDREasy and it does Main Movie only (same as DVD2DVD-R and DVD2SVCD does) but rips, CCE converts and authors in the one-clip-operation.

Could develope into a great program, will try it out tomorrow after a good sleep
      Cheers,

      DVDREasy clarification.

It seems we have a bit of confusion here . . .

DVDREasy 0.0.5 package allready have all the necessary tools included. Just download and execute the package and you have all the tools installed.

Then download and install DVDREasy 0.1.5 patch.

Beside that you also need CCE 2.5, DVD Decrypter and Bitrate Viewer.

In my opinion, the final result (main movie only) is a "much better quality" than the same movie maded by DVD shrink, because :
      - the encoder that DVDREasy uses (Cinema Craft Encoder 2.5)
      - By using only 1 audio you will have the maximum BITRATE possible for the main movie

      I hope this info helps...

      Thanks

      Post dvdreasy

So,first to welcome you here and hopefully your product will get matured even more with feedback from this great forum
      My question is;
Why is cce only 2.5 version compatible??same as in dvd2svcd???Couse that version is from year 2000-2001-so 4 years allready and cce had many versions after that...I find it hard to belive that cce company cant make a good reliable encoder in 4 years
I do have installed 2.5 and last one 2.67.00.23 and both working flawless
also the newer one is a bit faster too comparing to 2.5 Im know that dvd2svcd dev did the same but its a bit weird for me,so if you can clarify that,i think many people would like to know the reasons.
Anyway thanks a lot for this great tool(didnt try yet,but i will )wish you a good luck and lots of feedback so you can drive this aplication to the top of dvd world

      DVDREasy

      Hi,

      Thanks for your comments.

      About CCE.
here is an excerpt that you can find in CCE forum from DOOM9.ORG

      "What version should I use?

Well, first you'll have to choose between CCE-SP and CCE-Basic obviously depending on how deep your pockets are. Generally, I think that considering CCE-Basic uses the same encoding engine CCE-SP uses, $58 is a really great deal. For encoding DV camera footage and simple movie-only backups of your DVDs it is a very good choice at a very reasonable price. However, if you want the last bit of quality by using more passes in multipass VBR mode and have more manual control over bitrate distribution, you'll have to use CCE-SP. Also, tools like DoItFast4U!, designed to automate the process of full DVD backups while maintaining the original DVD structure, cannot be used with CCE-Basic because they rely on some advanced features of CCE-SP.

As for CCE-SP, many people around here are still using the older 2.50 version. Generally speaking, at least to my eyes, there is no difference in quality between the 2.50 and 2.66/2.67 versions when using corresponding encoder settings. CCE-SP 2.50 is still the fastest choice for AMD processors while v2.66/2.67 will run fastest (and a little faster than 2.50) on Intel P4 systems. As with any software, the newer versions have bugs removed and new features added (see the CCE-SP history.txt file). Apart from that I like the revamped GUI in CCE-SP 2.66/2.67 much better, all I can say is that if you have CCE-SP 2.50 and are happy with it, then you can stick with it, but you should possibly give the newer versions a try as well. Note that CCE-SP 2.50 will happily coexist with CCE-SP 2.66/2.67 so you can have installed both at the same time.

Note that between CCE-SP 2.50 and CCE-SP 2.66, Custom Technology also released CCE-SP 2.62 and CCE-SP 2.64. I have never used any of these versions but the general opinion seems to be that v2.62 is to be avoided because it cannot import AVISynth scripts and that v2.64 is generally less stable than v2.50."

I'm using version 2.50 because it is the one I have. I never tested DVDREasy with another version of CCE.

My guess is that DVDREasy will work with other version, but... I don´t know.

All feedback about using other versions of CCE is very appreciated

      Thanks.
