Smartripper to Dvd

I need to know if i bought dvd burner[what type needed]can i just rip vob files from movie and then burn back to dvd,or follow svcd course and burn several movies to dvd to play on stand alone dvd players.Any information would be appreciated.

yes you should be able to, but the process isn't as simple as that.

On the svcd, not all standalone players play them (so make sure yours does) and those that do, don't always play them well. However there is a list in the section above, with a few tested players & such for you to look at. Pioneers do quite well (the standalone players), but a few others (super cheapy models) do too.
ChickenMan's tutorials are great if you want to make VCDs & SVCDs (the VCDs are amazing quality, better than VHS).
