So... finally got my 100pack of princos ... They work great !!
my problem with other cheap dvd-r discs was the reading speed on pc ....
I can read princos now @ up to 5.5x speed..
but still write them @ 1x

goto w*w.shop4tech.com to get them ... I don´t like advertising but I can really recommend the support there ..

btw. shipping from US to Austria worked fine ..

      Hi

      thnx

      will remember that.
I still hve to make a working dvd on one of these bulkpaq dvd-rs

the one I authored with movie factory on rw seems to work.

I am running your simple dvd-dvdr faq as i speak for the second time. still think I have a problem with my earlier version of nero

the screenshot with the udf file system is different, I don,t have one!
mabe you have seen my other posts and you will have seen how I have been getting on.

got nero to startdownloading but at 1kps forget it just now.

I am away 4 till sat night

      what version of nero ?
the guide was created with 5.5.7.8. I think ...

hmm...use 5.5.8.0 there is also no udf filesystem "selector" just create DVD Video project and everything works fine ...

      hi again

      using nero ver 5.5.5.1

hopefully a new version will arrive by snail on monday.

I have ripped and stripped 3 dvds now and still cannot get them under 4.7gb.

I am away to find out the next step.

      I got a result using

      smart***r
      dvd2avi
      tmp*g dvd compression
dvd movie factory added some chapters and processed it, + it all took ages, but it worked
there must be a better way?

hmm... better way ? lets say another way .... just combine some of my tutorials .... DVDtoDVD-r + CCE + Scenarist NT ....
I don´t like Movie Factory ... so I use Scenarist

btw. transcoding takes the most time .....

hmm...5.5.5.1 ... ?? that´s really "old" for dvd burning ...cause ahead changed much between 5.1 and 8.2 ....

      Thumbs up

      Hi again

got nero (latest) and all is well if you use the wizard.
I have done only 94min dvds using smartripper to extract. when using el_ps Guide there seems to be some files short, but all is not lost when you use neros wizard it tells you what files you require if you are short, you then rip them, add them and
      then burn them.

I am using datasafe dvd-rw and bulkpaq dvd-r all seems ok

I am away looking for software to backup longer dvd films

      ta

nothing to do with the burning software ...

just take a look at the cce guide + scenarist guide ...to resize the mainmovie and reautor the dvd ... have fun
